Sophie Parkin

I studied Law at the University of Exeter between 2012 and 2015 before continuing my studies with an MSc in Marketing in 2016. Over the past decade, I’ve built a career in marketing across the heritage and hospitality sectors. I’ve held marketing leadership roles at Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust and Sheffield General Cemetery Trust, and am now Sales & Marketing Manager at Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield. What I enjoy most about my work is using marketing as a force for good – connecting people with their local heritage, encouraging greater participation in arts and culture, and helping historic organisations remain relevant and accessible for future generations. It’s incredibly rewarding to see effective marketing inspire people to engage with places and stories they might otherwise never have discovered.
