William Penning
I studied at the University of Exeter, completing an MSc in Management after graduating with a First-Class degree. I chose Exeter because of its strong reputation for business education. Since graduating, I have built my career across healthcare transformation, management consulting and organisational improvement.
I currently work within the Corporate Project Management Office at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, leading large-scale transformation, workforce redesign and sustainability programmes that deliver operational improvement and long-term strategic value.
My expertise spans strategy, business transformation, stakeholder engagement, operational improvement and sustainability. I regularly collaborate with executives, clinical leaders and external partners to solve complex organisational challenges, shape strategic initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes.
What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to combine strategic thinking, data-driven decision making and relationship building to drive meaningful change at scale. I am happy to advise students interested in business strategy, leadership, project management, sustainability, healthcare transformation, management consulting, and navigating life after university.
