Tom Bonsundy-Bryan

I served as a diplomat with the United Nations and UK Foreign Office in various overseas postings across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia – focused on conflict and peace process negotiations (especially in Afghanistan, Congo, and Jerusalem). I later earned an MPP degree from Harvard University as a UK Kennedy Scholar, and went on to join Meta (Facebook)’s policy team in Europe, Middle East, and Africa – first with a focus on misinformation, and then on AI. After 6 years working for Meta (Facebook)’s policy team in Europe, Middle East and Africa – first with a focus on misinformation, and then on AI – I joined Tamkeen in Abu Dhabi working as Head of Policy. I’m also a Professor of Practice in Technology & Global Affairs at IE University in Madrid and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C.
