I came to University of Exeter with an interest in international affairs and left with a foundation that has shaped a long career working across Asia and global markets. Over the past four decades, I have worked across investment banking, as a startup co-founder, and as a senior official in both the UK and Hong Kong governments, as well as Chief Executive of the China-Britain Business Council, alongside senior advisory roles and now as Founder and CEO of CC Global Horizons, with long and deep experience of China.

Much of my career has been spent living and working in Asia. I continue to work with companies, governments and investors navigating an increasingly complex global environment. I also serve as a Non-Executive Director of UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology International, reflecting a strong interest in the organisation’s impactful environmental research. What I enjoy most is the variety and relevance of the work—bringing together capital, capability and partnerships to create tangible outcomes. What drives me most is the positive outcomes for people and their livelihoods.
